  • Education at CHIST
  • Global Standard Curriculum in the 21st Century
The goal of learning at CHIST is "understanding".
CHIST fosters "abilities for deep understanding" in its students, by providing them with world cutting edge education
includes UbT (Understanding by Technology) and high-literacy education,
which assists the students with playing important roles with diverse perspectives in various fields in the future.
    • World Cutting Edge UbT Education
    • Understanding by Technology (UbT)
    • High-Literacy Education
    • Strong Literacy Program

World Cutting Edge Education

Understanding by Technology

CHIST promotes UbT education, which integrates learning and technology. For "computer native" children, learning using technology is a successful means of improving their academic performances. For instance, creating a 2-minute summary video on what they learned, and giving a presentation using the video help students deepen their understanding, which is one of the goals CHIST holds.

These videos also enable students, teachers and parents to objectively review the learning path and outcomes of students' study
CHIST will utilize unique learning technology, including state-of-the-art learning tools that American researchers have customized for CHIST. Needless to say, on the other hand, learning without technology is equally significant. CHIST also encourages students interact with nature, and communicate with friends (which CHIST calls UbC: Understanding by Communication).
Students who have formed deep understanding through education CHIST provides where UbT and UbC are integrated are able to develop self-directed learning attitudes and acquire the abilities to solve various problems.

High-Level Literacy Education

ICT/Math/ESL/Japanese

CHIST focuses especially on those four areas using the UbT education method.

ICT教育

ICT Education
ICT education uses programs developed by researchers at universities and educational institutions in the United States that have been customized for CHIST.

Math教育

Math Education
While based on international standard content and levels for arithmetic and mathematics education, CHIST also incorporates Japanese curriculum guidelines, which is internationally recognized.

ESL教育

ESL Education
ESL stands for "English as a Second Language," and our ESL programs are designed to improve the English skills for non-native speakers.. CHIST also provides support for students who are particularly concerned about their English skills.

Japanese教育

Japanese Education
For Japanese language ability, we determine the final goal at high school graduation, and "reverse-engineer" the curriculum to achieve that goal.
