Information Communication Technology

ICT enables deeper access to cross-curriculum learning that includes students acting as key participants and stakeholders where appropriate and possible.

CHIST embeds a trans-disciplinary paradigm of inquiry: questioning, discussion, and authentic shared learning experiences provide the context for students to engage in and learn crucial elements of Digital Citizenship and Information Literacy to make authentic connections in local, regional and global contexts. Student learning is documented through ICT by a combination of formative and summative.

Information, Communication, Technology (ICT) is thus embedded across the curriculum, and every teacher at CHIST is an ICT educator.

CHIST recognizes that 21st-century teaching never simply delivers content but empowers students to actively engage with knowledge by reviewing with peers, creating content themselves and by pursuing lines of inquiry for active learning.
