Social Studies

In their study of humans and societies, CHIST students collect, describe and analyze data to test hypotheses and learn how to interpret complex information, including original source material.

Focusing on real-world examples, research and analysis is an essential aspect of the humanities, and our students build their knowledge in a range of disciplines, including history, geography, and economics, allowing opportunity for engagement with multiple perspectives and opinions of the past.

Students will examine thousands of years of change from different regions of the world, helping to foster international mindedness while establishing a broad knowledge base for deeper study.

In higher grades, students will focus on either Geography or History.
