Wednesday, 10th April marks the start our second year of Elementary School and the opening of our Middle & High School!

Wednesday, 10th April marks the start our second year of Elementary School and the opening of our Middle & High School!

The whole school was abuzz as many new students entered their new classrooms for the first time and were given a brief look at the great challenges ahead for them.

CHIST wishes its Elementary, and now Middle & High School students the very best as they strive gain the wisdom, courage and the will to contribute to the betterment of society for future generations.

 We held a CPR training session open for all staff, yesterday.

Members of Kojimachi Fire Station were on hand to make sure CHIST teachers could to stay current with their training to ensure we have a safe, caring school.

Here we can see teachers practicing their heart massage technique.

Students in our Japanese classes read a variety of books. One of the activities that students work on after reading is writing book recommendations for their favorite books. Some of these recommendations were even introduced on Sakura Radio which is a web-based Japanese radio station that covers not only all of the United States but also around the world. Coffee & Curiosity Session

Today's Coffee & Curiosity workshop at CHIST explained how we will blend elements of Japanese and other global curricula in developing the middle school and high school mathematics. 
Parents learned how CHIST will implement international standards in an inquiry-based approach.
