Visual Arts

CHIST students will be encouraged to develop a lifelong appreciation of Visual Arts through exploration, reflection, and critical practice in various artistic forms. Students will study a diverse range of art and design across time, place and culture. Students will become informed and critical observers of visual culture, adding to their own confidence and skills as artistic creators.

CHIST students learn through cross-curricular units of inquiry while developing their skills to communicate visually and appreciating the cultural diversity of the world. Students collaborate towards showcasing their art and embracing student voice in their continuum of inquiry.

In DP Visual Arts, students will document their creativity in their visual journal while compiling their Process Portfolio. Their final year will culminate in the Exhibition, an art event that will represent their artistic journey and showcase their artist statements.
